How to make recycling aluminum cans easy and rewarding and can save you money. This is probably something most of you learned from your parents when you were little, but just in case, here goes.

First, find something to place your recycling cans in keeping in mind that cans are often sticky and messy to transport. Plastic garbage bags, trash cans, and barrels all work great for this jobs. Basically anything easy to carry that you don't need to keep clean.

Next, make phone calls around to see which recycler will pay you the most per pound for the recycled cans and also who's the most convenient. You don't want this to be a negative experience. The key words in this search will be "recycling" and "recycling services". After you have called around for per pound price quotes take your cans to the recycler.

The process at the recycling facility are pretty easy. Generally, they will have you drive onto their scale to drop off the cans. After the weight is determined, You will be paid your cash.

Of course, you could even find more cans that's right, freebies, by walking around your community with a small plastic bag. It will be great exercise and you are doing your neighborhood a favor. I know you may not want to be known as "can lady", so maybe you could do this early in the morning or late in the evening. And of couse, you can save money by looking for free samples on sites like ours!
